The Skeleton Coast is a 2 million hectare national park, and is one of the most inhospitable, and least visited places on earth. The Skeleton Coast is part of the Namib desert, the oldest desert in the world, famous for numerous shiprecks which can be seen along its desolute coastline. It is divided into northern and southern sections, and includes the National West Coast Recreation Area and the Skeleton Coast Park. The Skeleton Coast also offers some of the best surf fishing in the world, where many species of fish can be caught.
