The St Lawrence River, which flows from west to east, across the American, Canadian Border, is over 750 miles long, and has a basin covering one and a quarter million square miles. This huge navigable inland waterway, drains some of the huge Canadian lakes, primarily Lake Ontario, Lake Erie, and Lake Superior. It is from one to four miles wide, and has thousands of islands, and much of it is inaccessible from the shore. In 1930, the first carp was caught from the crytal clear depths of the St Lawrence River, and it is now home to millions of large hard fighting Common Carp.....
