Lake Nasser is a huge man made lake located in Southern Egypt. It was created after a Russian built dam was created on the River Nile at Aswan in the 1960's and the resulting lake that was created flooded over 6,200 sq kilometers of the Nile Valley, creating one of Africa's largest man made lakes. The original fish population was presented with a huge lake to live in, and have thrived in their new habitat. Lake Nasser has now established itself as the best location in Africa, for catching Nile Perch, and this venue has now produced three 200lb plus fish (excepted by the IGFA as line class records).....
